Things to Do
St. Simons' beautiful scenery, small beach town atmosphere and a family connection to the coastal Georgia barrier island are why we wanted to host a wedding here. We recommend you do a whole lot of absolutely nothing. Turn off your phones, unwind, and relax. If you must fill the time do one of the many activities we love to do: hang at the beach, ride a bike, play golf, and eat some good fresh southern seafood.
Activities
Bike
The entire island of St. Simons is completely bike friendly. We recommend looking into any of the bike rental shops on the island and exploring. Head to Redfern Village for a morning coffee at Jittery Joes and to pick up a beach read at Righton Books. Or pedal down through the oaks to "The Village" to walk along the pier and see the local lighthouse. You might even spot Astrid's Dad on one of his 10 mile walks.
Golf
Alex recommends Sea Island Golf Club (must be staying at a Sea Island property to play), the King & Prince Golf Club and Sea Palms Golf Club.
Beach
East Beach St. Simons Island
(Dog friendly before 9AM and after 6PM)
Easy public parking and access from the Coast Guard Station with bath house onsite.
The Tent Guys
If your accommodations do not provide beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, etc., we recommend using The Tent Guys. Reserve a full beach package so all the gear you need will be setup and waiting for you for a fun day on East Beach!
